Umbra's cost fell from 110.000 to 5.500 while Goldbrands cost from 150.000 to 6.500.
Unique weapons like Umbra or Goldbrand are somehow expensive but their value was seriously devalued. The most expensive item is mundane ring with 21.000 gold but i think if you are lucky you can find many mundane rings. In Oblivion there are some expensive items but they come from random loot. Only the cost made you realize that this artifact is one of the most important in the world of morrowind regardless on how useful it was However one of the best experiences in the game was to loot a dungeon and find an item with a cost of 50.000 gold.
Sheogoraths ring had a cost of 30.000 gold but drew your willpower 10 pnts with a 10 point boost in your personality.
I remember the first time i saw such an expensive item in that game(Magebane). One of the things i loved in Morrowind was the fact the some weapons/armor/clothes were too expensive to be sold.
